Damn. Last night’s ballgame sure did not go well for the San Francisco Giants. The packed house at AT&T Park did all they could to try and bring home a win in Game 3 of the World Series for their orange and black-clad heroes, but the tough as nails foes from Kansas City stood in their way. By the time Royals closer quickly dispatched the Giants with a 1-2-3 ninth inning the Royals had a 3-2 win and a 2 games to 1 lead in the series heading into tonight’s Game 4.
Before the game I had a really fun opportunity to be interviewed by KRON 4′s tech reporter Gabe Slate outside the ballpark to talk about iPhone photography. You can check out the interview that is running locally here on channel 4 all weekend long on various newscasts.
It was great being back home in the Bay Area and having the chance to shoot at my favorite park. Before I could settle into my awesome Lexus shooting position I shot some batting practice and the annual Roberto Clemente Award press conference before the game (see above). First pitch was 5:07pm and it couldn’t come soon enough!

The Royals got a quick run in the first inning off Giants starter Tim Hudson, but after that Huddy settled down and pitched well. The problem for the Giants was Royals starter Jeremy Guthrie pitched great and held the Giants scoreless. The Royals added on 2 more runs in the top of the 6th to take what seemed to be a commanding 3-0 lead. That is when the Giants bats finally came alive. They tallied twice to make it 3-2 with three innings left. They had a chance right? Not so fast. The vaunted Royals bullpen stood in the way.

They Giants were mowed down at the end of the game by the Royals arms. They had no chance. It was over quickly. Damn it was fast, but painful to watch. Ouch! Tonight is pretty much a must win for the Giants. There is nothing like World Series pressure, but that is what you play the game for. 30 teams start spring training every February hoping for this chance. The Giants have come up against a terrific club in the Royals. A very likeable club that is fun to watch. I am excited and fortunate to have a good seat for tonight’s game!
